How Can I make a List With No PC? 0_o

Hey folks, SinSynn here.

Sigh.
My computer died a whimpering death the other day, so I'm sitting in the living room, using the Crazy Lady's computer. Good thing I keep all of my tentacle hentai on a ginormous portable hard drive, or I'd be pretty upset right about now. Blah.
*I think I pressed ctrl+alt+explode*

The worst thing about having no computer?
OH MY GOD I CAN'T MAKE A LIST!
No Easy Army for Flames of War, no Infinity Army 3.0, no Army Builder, no nuthin.' What on earth am I supposed to do? It's been so long since I put pen to paper to create a list that I'm fairly sure I've forgotten how to do it.
All that page turning, the calculator, the writing. So much work...and then you realize you're like ten points over. Blah.
By Cthulhu's lengthy tentacles...I'm spoiled, and maybe lazy. It's not my fault, though- for the most part, the applications I've listed above are entirely too convenient and easy to use. I can't say the same for for the old method, as nostalgic as I may feel about the ol' black and white notebook.

*Look, I still love you, but....I've met someone new*

Trying to write up a list from a FoW sourcebook or pdf isn't exactly miserable, but...
Oh, wait- it's completely miserable, just like making a list for 40k, or any other game I can think of offhand. Truthfully, I never used to feel this way, but building a list for a massive 2500 points-per-side game I took part in the other day was an exercise in frustration. I can use my PC to whip up a list and print that sucker up with a quickness. My printed list will feature statlines and special rules, while my handwritten list will most likely resemble Exhibit F in serial murderer's trial.

*Whoops. Wrong list*

Anyone familiar with Army Builder knows that it's far from perfect, and I know from experience that Easy Army will let users create lists that aren't kosher, as well. We all know what kind of drama can result from having an illegal list, don't we?
:P
I hate to admit this, but I've come to expect an Easy Army list from my opponent when I attend FoW Tournaments, and I get sort of annoyed when I get a notebook list. It's not a trust issue at all, it's that an Easy Army list allows me to do an immediate threat evaluation, and saves a lot of time during games simply because neither myself nor my opponent is looking up stuffs. It's all there, on the list.
Nobody ever believes me when I tell 'em Hummels have a 2+ Fire Power rating in bombardments.
-_-
Since we live in a day and age where we can pretty much do everything on a smartphone, it should come as no surprise that we can build our army lists on one as well. I myself have been grateful for the accessibility a handful of times.
Man, the ol' black and white notebook looks to be heading the way of the dodo, I gotta tell ya.
*Mmmmm...giant gun on treads. Gotta love it*

I don't believe that Easy Army, or any other computer-based app should be mandatory at events, by any means, but I do wish companies that make the games we play would provide one for us in the manner that Infinity does. Seriously, it would make things smoother.

I mean, not that I'm making lists right now anyway, or downloading any new tentacle hentai, or whatever.
Stupid computer, Y U melt down?
The Crazy Lady approaches. Gotta run!

Until next time, folks- Exit with catchphrase!
