All six finalists' articles will be run in the evening parallel to our normal posting schedule. This means if you're in Europe, you'll be seeing these in the morning or if you're Australia or somewhere, you'll be seeing them last Tuesday (that's how this whole timezone shit works, right?!?).
The articles will Run Monday through Saturday in the order that entries were received. Voting then opens up on Sunday and will run through the following Friday- enabling you, dear reader, to join in the democratic process and make your voice heard by selecting who will not continue to the next round of HoP Idol II. The contestant with the fewest votes at the end of the voting period will be eliminated.

For the first challenge, the contestants were asked to write an article within the following parameters:
Write an article covering either:
- A hobby project you've recently completed. Painting, modelling, WIP, terrain, etc. You name it and write about it.
- Book Review. Write a review of the most recent gaming novel or sourcebook you've read. No limits on system, just make sure you're writing about a tabletop or roleplaying game.
- Gamer culture. This one is a broad one, but any article covering anything about gamers and what makes us tick from an editorial perspective. I'd advise against the cliche "3 types of gamer" or "gamers have poor hygiene" post unless you've got something really revolutionary to add.
