This week is different. This week X equals 10.
1) Tales of a Tabletop Skirmisher - Interview with Morf, creator of Pulp City by Wargamesgeek.pl
Though not actually conducted by Hendybadger himself, I think the service he provided by moving it off a forum so we could all see it on the blog rolls it is well worth recognition. Plus, if you’ve been paying attention, a ton of pulp city stuff has been flowing from this blog and it’s high time I made sure you were all aware of one mans love for super hero fights and the fact that a game like this exists.
2) Fresh Coast 40K - DFG Adepticon Primer Tournament Wrap Up
Adepticon is nearly upon us and if the historical precedents remain constant, we should be in for some very cool reports from the floor, a touch of drama and some amazing results from the Crystal Bursh contest. More immediately though, one of the boys in Michagan attended a primer tounry and did this awesome write up. There was a cool report, some drama (the good kind) and some amazing models. Adepticon in a miniature form.
3) Bladestorm! - My experience with Warmachine
Here’s a post from one of our newest members in which the pitfalls of the Warmachine battle box are discussed. Contrary to what you have thought the post was about based on it's title alone. But read on! Despite Radical Edwards clear grumpiness with the product, it’s a fairly even handed review. So if you’re wondering what the privateer Press plastics are like, this is certainly something to consider.
4) 3 for Int - A plea to GW and a thank you to Indy TO's: Re tournament support
A lot of people have dug into the announced end of ‘Ard boyz (worst name ever) and The Throne of Skulls (awesome name). The overwhelming sentiment has been ‘good ridance’. but Dok here, has written a post that expands on that. Also one of the funniest uses of "emphasis added" I've seen in a while.
5) Lesser of All Evils - Caution: My stupid idea of a lifetime
Madival has finally made the age old debate between pirates and ninjas interesting. Which is to say that he’s the only person to have actually managed to make it interesting. You’ll never think of necrons in the same way again.
6) Do You Have a Flag - Arthurian / Celtic Space Marine Captain Conversion
As part of my continued apology to Headologist for whatever the hell happened to make his blog not be on the rolls, please enjoy this post on bad-ass marine conversions. Side note: even without the mea culpa aspect of this Top X entry, this post would be on the list.
7) Do You Have a Flag - Space Marine Chariot conversion and more...
Headologist also gets a second entry today because the dude has some chops when it comes to conversions. Space Marine Chariots. Shit's awesome. Super awesome, even.
8) Frontline Gamers - Frontline Gamers guide to writing a successful Blog
This is the mother of all advice articles on blogging. If you’re wondering what kind of things you could be doing to improve almost any aspect of what you’re doing with your blog, all you have to do is rad on. Though you should probably go the bathroom first, make a cup of tea... clear your schedule, etc. It’s a long one.
9) Fire Broadside - Quick and Dirty Infinity Tournament AAR
I love the fact that Infinity is picking up enough steam to make it’s presence known in the blog world. I also love the fact that this after action report is so freaking great! It’s got pictures and some solid (if understandably breif) bat rep action. If you wanted to know what Infinity is all about, this post is a great place to start.
10) Fine Detail Miniature Painting - Necromunda Spyrers, Nomads and Platformer set review
Speaking of skirmish games, here’s a rare find for ya! It’s some Necromunda hotness! This post has some painted minis and an excellent review of some of the amazing and amazingly cheap Platformer sets. If you’ve ever wondered about those terrain sets, then this is the place to go.
