Cool Stuff: Roll20 -- Virtual tabletop gaming that tells a story

A while back, Dethtron regaled you with the epic tale of how we managed to create a stable RPG group despite the fact that only two of the four of us lived in the same state.

For those of you unable or unwilling to click on my handy embedded link, the basic idea was that we used a collection of free online tools as a replacement for actually being in the same room.  It worked pretty well and it was free, but it was not without it's issues.  Mostly due to the fact that it was essentially a bunch of stuff duct taped together.

That was then.

In the present, I discovered something pretty neat on Kickstarter.

Essentially, it's a completely web-based bundle (no downloading) of all the tools my buddies and I were using in the past years. Plus, like a million other features. It's also integrated so you're only using ONE program rather than 4+.

The kickstarter has already met it's funding goal, and I am by no means urging you to spend money.  I just wanted to bring this to your attention since it seems like it'll be pretty neat once it's done.  Also, I was wistfully thinking of Von the other day and this just jumped out at me.
