The Weekly Top X - Verily, Ye Olden Tymes Doth Previale!

Hello everyone and welcome to another Weekly Top X chock full of snazzy information and only a slight bit of turpitude!  We had a training session which, I feel, should significantly cut down on all the wickedness and wrong doing that was going on.  I also made everyone shave their Snidely Whiplash mustaches as well.  That shit was getting seriously out of hand.

Everyone looked like Jack Lemmon from the Great Race.
Anyway, for Today's Top X, I thought I'd go aaaaall the way back to the first post that could be considered a New Member Monday and see where some of our longest standing members are today.

1) Game Over - Of Orcs and Goblin-Men
So yeah, our first "where are they now entry" is from Von.  Who now writes and creates video magic  for the HoP.  It's a bit self referential, but... whadayagonnado.  The battle report in question is an excellent little bit of descriptive writing and undeniable proof that the American perspective on the LotR game is, perhaps, a bit myopic.

2) Twin Linked Awesome - Conversion: Magnetizing An Ark
Well shit, another guy who's been involved with HoP content production.  Srsly you guys.  Srsly.  In any case, Lantz has been a busy, busy man since his "where in the world is Lantz" days.  He contributes to a bazillion sites and still has time to come up with the madness that is this magnetized Ark post.  It's fucking crazy!

3) The Quiet Limit of the World - Grail Quest IV: Lethal Flagon
Still going strong as well.  Hell, Ben has been rocking so hard that he was able to run a 41 person tournament AND blog about it.  There's a lot of good fantastic stuff in the linked posts, so take the time to read it!  None of that polite skimming, thanks.  Also of note, is that a recent viewing of Lethal Weapon will probably be useful.

4) All Things Fett -  My First Wargame...Battle Beasts
We're four for four so far!  Another old timer (played by Rooster Cogburn) still going strong.  And still working his very unique combination of wargaming and toy collecting (practically the same thing as often as not).  I won't say too much about the post other than:  Holy shit!  I used to do that too!!

5) Pit of the Oni - Nurgle Dread
Grendal may not be the most prolific of the authors feature here today, but he's still kicking around and he's still doing it well.  His Nurgle dreadnought is a nice halfway point between the completely shitty old Metal Chaos dreadnought and the expensive new hotness from Forgeworld.  I doff my cap to you, sir.

6) Ninjabread - Full Scale Assault 2012
Ah Curis, what can I say about him and his excellent... well, EVERYTHING that couldn't be better summed up with one of his comics. But also, read the linked post too.

7) Imaginary Life - Weekly Finds #67
MoD's Imperial Life blog may be MIA, but the dude is still out there kickin' it on his own blog as well as the storied Mind War FTW.  The dude also lists us as "the League of Dastards" which tickles me to no end.  Anywho, the linked post is a pretty amazing catalog of hobby finds and is well worth your time.

And there we are.  A nice continuation of content from the first, prototypical New Member Monday to this latest Top X.  Have a great weekend everyone!
