Where Are the Ads?

Notice something? Maybe there's something missing here, perhaps? Well you're on to something, you handsome, canny devil. We do not have any ad support for this blog. This gives us more room to make the site look like a geocities page*. In all seriousness though, we are seriously for serious committed to keeping this site advertisement free, for serious even.

 

There are a lot of reasons for this. First and foremost, we are here to advertise for you, the gaming enthusiast. Whether you're here to promote your blog or find something good to read, we don't want to clutter up the page with a bunch of nonsense about dating services, the warstore (even if Neal is pretty great), or the Oprah book of the month. The network exists to promote your blog and that's what we're going to do.

 

Beyond that simple logic, we also aim to be as neutral as possible. In the event that we bring you a piece of news, a product review, or any other article, we want you to know that it is as unbiased as we can make it. We feel very strongly that by not accepting advertising revenue, we will be able to keep our integrity firmly intact.

  

The future is bright for us. As we've alluded previously, there are a lot of plans in the works. Some of these will cost money. We'll be buying our own domain in the near future (probably out of pocket, not that it's too expensive) and we're going to try and bring you some prize support down the road. Let's just leave that open ended for you guys to speculate about for now. In short, running this blog certainly won't be free for the owners for very long. It may become necessary to drum up some cash or product support down the road to keep things going or just to do what we want to do to promote the gaming hobby. That's a bridge that we will cross when we reach it. I can't tell you exactly where we're going to draw support from, but we can promise you 2 things-

1. Ad banners will never grace our pages
2. We will be open, honest, and transparent about any support that we do receive

 

We want all of you to remember this. If you see a change in the future that you thinks violates this, let us know so that we can consider it. Here's to this never being an issue.

*We've already been hated on a little bit for page design. We'll consider making some changes later on, but for now you should be glad that we didn't choose a dark background, bright text format. That shit seriously hurts my eyes.
